Chapultepec Castle (Spanish: Castillo de Chapultepec) is located on top of Chapultepec Hill. It is located in the middle of Chapultepec Park in Mexico City at a height of 2,325 meters above sea level. Chapultepec hill was a sacred place for Aztecs, and the site is presently the Museo Nacional de Historia. The Chapultepec Castle is the only place in North America that was actually used as the residence of a sovereign: the Mexican Emperor Maximilian I, and his consort Empress Carlota lived there during the Second Mexican Empire.

Murales de Diego Rivera en la Secretaria de Educacion Publica: 235 panels covering all of the walls of two courtyards are murals painted by Diego Rivera between 1923 and 1928 These are Diego Rivera's first major large-scale mural project. Most of the murals depict workers and the glorification of the Mexican Revolution. Rivera named the courtyards "Labor Courtyard" and the "Fiesta Courtyard". Because he was a supporter of the Communist Party at the time, Rivera painted small hammers and sickles next to his signature on the panels.

Xochimilco is best known for its canals and man-made islands, which are left from what was an extensive lake and canal system, that connected most of the settlements of the Valley of Mexico. Gondola-like boats called "Trajinera" make their way around the 170 km (110 mi) of canals. The canals surrounding the chinampa plots are part of Mexico cities pre-Hispanic past and is a World Heritage Site.
